Dear Community of St Columba’s,
Pre-Primary Liturgy
On Tuesday, our Pre-Primary students led a truly beautiful liturgy for our PP–Year 2 cohort. Their reverence, joy, and enthusiasm were evident throughout the celebration. Congratulations to our youngest learners for creating such a special moment for our community. We are so proud of you!
Interschool Spelling Bee
Congratulations to all our participants in this year’s Interschool Spelling Bee! The atmosphere was intense, and the competition fierce, but our students represented St Columba’s with confidence. Well done on being selected top of your Year Group to represent our school. Jax F, Celeste M, Joana G, Arthur O, Simeon A, Senumitha R, Richie D, Sofia J.
You have made us proud!
Sacrament of Confirmation – Year 6
This weekend, we wish our Year 6 students all the very best as they receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation is a special step in their faith journey, where they receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and affirm their commitment to living as followers of Christ. Please keep them in your prayers as they prepare for this important milestone.
Are you leaving?
It is hard to believe that it is already time to start preparing for the 2026 school year. While we are always sad to see families go, we understand that circumstances can change. To help us with budget planning and class compositions, please let us know by the end of this term, September 26, 2025, if your enrolment plans for 2026 will be changing. You can do this by emailing – admin@stcolsbays.wa.edu.au or calling 9208 2700.
Your assistance in this matter is appreciated.

Class News
From our Kindy classes:
In Kindy we have been gardeners. We planted lots of vegetables and flowers in our Kindy Garden and have been caring for them and watching them grow. We have noticed something is eating some of the leaves on the plants and we’ve seen some snails, slaters, bees, caterpillars and butterflies in our garden. We were very interested in learning more about minibeasts and began making some out of boxes and craft items. We had to think about the special features of the minibeasts like how many legs they have or if they have wings. We have so much fun learning about our world in Kindy.

From our Year 4 classes
In HASS, we’ve been exploring the geography of Africa. Our excursion to the zoo yesterday gave us a valuable opportunity to observe African animals up close, which has really supported our learning in literacy as we work on writing information reports about these animals.
