Dear Community of St Columba’s,
DOH – NUT
A special thank you also to our wonderful P&F Executive and Sub-Committee for organising such a memorable Father’s Day Breakfast. It was fantastic to see so many fathers, grandfathers and special father figures enjoying quality time with their children over a delicious Donut with Dad, while the Paper Plane Competition brought plenty of fun, creativity and friendly competition.
Thank you also to our Pastoral Care Team for coordinating the raffle and adding to the excitement of the morning. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and generosity of all our volunteers who helped create such a special community event for our families.
Thank you also to the many families who attended the Mass that followed, helping to make it a wonderful celebration of faith, family and community.
These Hands …
A special mention to our Pre-Primary Liturgy held on Tuesday for our PP to Year 2 students as we celebrated the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The joyful and enthusiastic singing of our youngest students filled the space with both reverence and delight, making it a beautiful celebration of faith and community.
I particularly loved the opening hymn, These Hands, which reminded us that God works through each one of us. Its message encourages our youngest learners to use their hands, hearts and voices to continue God’s work in the world through acts of love, kindness and service to others. It was a powerful reminder that even the smallest hands can make a meaningful difference when guided by faith and compassion.
Thank you to our students and staff for making this such a meaningful occasion.
Athletics Carnival
As I write this letter to you, the long-range forecast is promising a beautiful day, with no rain predicted. We are certainly hoping that forecast holds true and are very much looking forward to what promises to be a wonderful day for our school community.
We look forward to a fantastic day ahead and thank our P&F Sub-Committees for generously providing the Sausage Sizzle and Bake Sale. We are incredibly grateful for the time, effort and enthusiasm of our parent volunteers, whose support helps make events such as this possible.
To ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone, please take a moment to review all information shared by Mr Banks via SEESAW. Your support in following the event arrangements is greatly appreciated, and we thank you in advance for helping make the day an enjoyable experience for all.

Class News
From our Year 1 Classes:
Our Year Ones have been exploring number patterns through skip counting! Using our 120s charts and counters, we have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s, identifying patterns and finding missing numbers. We have been developing our ability to notice and describe the rules that help number patterns grow.
