Dear Community of St Columba’s,
Congratulations to our Year Four students on receiving their First Holy Communion. We are proud of the reverence and dedication you have shown in your preparation. Thank you to the Sacramental Team Tiala Papali, Amanda Xavier, Danielle Roberts, Mel Corica and Leesa Vinciullo for the preparation & support and Fr Mark for your spiritual guidance. We would also like to thank Mrs Gonsalves and our school choir for leading the hymn singing. Mrs Gonsalves was also accompanied by Mr Gonsalves on Friday night and Isabella from Year 6 on Saturday afternoon. Thank you.
As part of our Assessment and Reporting Schedule, Mid-Year Reports and IEP Reports will be distributed at the end of this term. Teachers are currently finalising these reports, which form an important component of our reporting processes. While there are many ways to communicate student progress, this formal reporting is a mandatory requirement of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority. Parents are welcome to make a time to discuss any aspect of their child’s report with the classroom teacher if required.
I am very much looking forward to joining our Year 6 students and staff for part of their annual Forest Edge Camp in Waroona. It is always a highlight of the year and a wonderful opportunity to see our students thrive in a different environment.
We wish all our Year 6 students an exciting and memorable adventure as they head off on camp. This special experience is so much more than a trip away. It is a chance to grow in confidence, independence, and teamwork. You will be challenged with new activities, strengthen existing friendships, build new ones, and create lasting memories that will stay with you long after camp has ended.
Whether you are trying something new, supporting a friend, or simply taking in the beauty of the outdoors, we encourage you to embrace every moment. Be courageous, be kind, and stay curious. Remember to look after yourselves and each other. Most importantly, have plenty of fun along the way.
A special thank you to our Year 6 teachers – Jacob O’Reilly, Jenny McLeod and Jennifer Scott, for their outstanding coordination and organisation of this experience. Your dedication ensures that camp is such a valuable and memorable opportunity for our students.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the wider team – Niall Kehoe, Adriana Xavier, Ellie Panebianco, Mikayla Giglia and Nicole Leach. Thank you for your generosity in giving up time with your own families to support our students on camp. Your commitment and care make a significant difference to the success of this experience.
Whilst I am away at camp, Mrs Leesa Vinciullo will be taking responsibility for the school.

Class News
From our Italian Classes:
Italian Day
This term we celebrated the Italian language and culture with our annual Italian Day. It was so beautiful to see the students and staff dressed up in their favourite Italian outfits which included the Fonz, Mario, pizza, Italian chefs to name a few. Thank you, parents, for organising this.
Our theme of Rome included eating gelato in front of a Trevi fountain backdrop and making Roman mosaics for our senior students.
The gelato from Pietro Gelateria was delizioso/delicious and students were able to experience ordering an Italian gelato from our Year 6 helpers. Bravissimi!!
Thank you also to Mrs Fantoni who came in as a parent helper and to those who volunteered to help.
Grazie a tutti! Thanks everyone!
