St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal
We will begin collecting non-perishable food items for our Annual St Vincent De Paul Christmas Appeal. Baskets will be in classrooms for your donation from Monday 27 November. Please check your item is in date as expired items cannot be accepted. The final date for donations will be 9.00am on Friday 8 December.
End of Year Edu Dance Concert
The students have been eagerly preparing their dances for the end of year Edu Dance Concert. Parents you are in for a real treat!
Due to parent feedback from the 2022 concert, this year’s concert will be held on the school oval. Further details regarding times, seating and parking will be sent to you shortly.

The end of the year is fast approaching and with that I write to release the dates for the commencement and end of each term. Also included are the dates of our Pupil Free Days and Catholic Day.
Term One
Monday 29 January: Pupil Free Day
Tuesday 30 January: Pupil Free Day
Wednesday 31 January: Term One commences for students.
Tuesday 5 March: Pupil Free Day
Thursday 28 March: End of Term One
Term Two
Monday 15 April: Term Two commences for staff and students.
Friday 31 May: Pupil Free Day
Friday 28 June: End of Term Two
Term Three
Monday 15 July: Term Three commences for staff and students.
Friday 16 August: Pupil Free Day
Monday 19 August: Catholic Day (School and the OSHC are closed)
Friday 20 September: End of Term Three
Term Four
Monday 7 October: Pupil Free Day
Tuesday 8 October: Term Four commences for students.
Friday 6 December: End of Term Four
The entire 2024 Parent Calendar will be available on the School Website by the last day Term 4. We are busy working on it for you.

TERM 4 Events
- End of Year Concert – We will be holding a sausage sizzle at the end of the concert for those that don’t want to go home and cook dinner.
- Christmas Raffle – We would like to do a Christmas Raffle that is more activity based for school holidays rather than toy based. If anyone has any contacts or ideas for prizes, please contact your class rep.

Religious Education and Curriculum News
From our Pre-Primary Classes:
In Pre Primary the children have been preparing and waiting for a special time, the birth of baby Jesus. Like many occasions the children enjoy, they may happen only once a year. Every year Christians set aside a special time of waiting and preparation just as Mary and Joseph prepared for Jesus to be born. We are excited to make our Advent Wreath to count down to Jesus’ birthday.
From our Kindy Classes
In Kindy have been measuring the length of our friends by using arbitrary units. First, we estimated how many blocks that person would need. Then we used a mix of small, medium and large blocks to measure. There was plenty of discussion, trial and error and lots of fun!
OUTCOME 4: CHILDREN ARE CONFIDENT AND INVOLVED LEARNERS
Children develop a range of learning and thinking skills and processes such as problem solving, inquiry, experimentation, hypothesising, researching and investigating.
