Outstanding Tuition Fees 2021

Thank you to families that have paid their tuition fees in full or set up a repayment arrangement or direct debit. Your support with the payment of tuition fees is much appreciated especially with the current COVID situation.

The collection of tuition fees is extremely important to the operation of the school as this money contributes towards class resources, excursions, IT, sacraments plus other school amenities.

For those parents and caregivers that have not paid their tuition fees, set up a repayment arrangement or a direct debit, we urgently request that you contact our Finance Officer, Peta Santella either by email to peta.santella@cewa.edu.au or on 9208 2705.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please contact Peta to discuss an alternative arrangement.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

HEAL COUNTRY
NAIDOC 2021

On Friday 30 July 2021 we will be having our NAIDOC Assembly. Events will begin with a ‘Welcome to Country’ and ‘Smoking Ceremony’ presented by Aboriginal elder, Barry Winmar.

‘Heal Country’ is this year’s theme. Heal Country calls for stronger measures to recognise, protect and maintain all aspects of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.
Country means more than the land on which we stand. Country is inherent to our identity. It sustains lives in every aspect – spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially and culturally.
Country is family, kin, law, lore, ceremony, traditions, and language. For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples it has been this way since the dawn of time.

Please join us Friday 30 July at 8.45am to celebrate NAIDOC Week and help ‘HEAL COUNTRY’.

Gate Access

The main front gate (Roberts Street) will be closed on Thursday 5 August and Friday 6 August for maintenance.

For morning drop offs and afternoon pickups the Parish gate and Milne Street gates will be accessible along with the vehicle entrance gate on Roberts Street, for easier access.

If you are required to be on the premises once school has commenced, please use the Parish gate and report directly to the front office as per normal procedures.

Please ensure that the Parish gate is shut gently behind you.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Sibling photos can ONLY be ordered online. Once you receive the personalised flyers for your children, it is imperative that you order your sibling photo early to avoid missing out! Interschool Cross Country

The Interschool Cross Country was held on Tuesday 27 July at UWA Sports Park with 16 schools attending.

The weather conditions were challenging, especially for the Year 4 event with wild weather and plenty of rain. Fortunately, the weather improved throughout the course of the day. It was an enormous effort by all of our athletes.

Congratulations to the following students who placed in the top 10 for their event:

Gethin Humphreys 4th place (Yr 3), Camile Tribute 4th place (Yr 4), Dylan Sardelich 6th place (Yr 4), Charlotte Pitter 4th place ((Yr 5), Zara Callo 7th place (Yr 5), Daphne Wishart 9th place (Yr 5), Jett Mann 7th place (Yr 5), Lucia Dawes 5th place (Yr 6) and Miel Fuentes 4th place (Yr 6).

St Columba’s achieved excellent results coming 5th in the boys and 5th in the girls competition and 6th place overall.

Thank you to all of the staff who helped out on the day.
