The library is a calming and quiet place, making it the perfect spot for students to have a smooth and calming transition in the morning.
Students may also like to return and borrow books before school.
Looking forward to seeing you the library.

Religious Education and Curriculum News
FROM OUR YEAR 2 CLASSES:
In Year Two the children have learnt that Jesus taught that praying is a special way for people to talk and listen to God. This is how people share their thoughts and feelings with God and God can be a special friend in their lives. They understand that we all need to talk with God, just as family members and other friends need to talk to each other. Followers of Jesus pray to God every day to share their thoughts, feelings and worries. People cannot become close to God, who loves every one of us, unless they spend time with God listening and talking to him.
FROM OUR YEAR 1 CLASSES:
Our Year One classes have settled into the new year very well, thoroughly enjoying the playgrounds, oval and basketball courts that they have been eagerly waiting to use! The students have been working hard to follow all rules, expectations and routines. We are very proud of them!
Throughout our recent Health lessons, we have looked at developing different strategies to enhance our interactions with others, including the importance of being aware of how our actions and words may hurt or harm others. As a class, we read through the book, Be Kind by Pat Zietlow Miller and Jen Hill, a thoughtful picture book illustrating the power of small acts of kindness. We have learnt this through our focus on flowers and their petals. Moreover, once we say something mean, taking it back won’t put the petal back on the flower. However, we can repair the hurt with love and care from others by watering the flower. Consequently, we created a Kindness Garden, which illustrates the many different words or things we can say or do to our friends.
We are so excited to see all of the wonderful work our Year One’s will be creating throughout the year!
Community Notices
2024 SACRAMENTS
Thank you to those who have expressed interest in joining us for our first Community Baptism this year. With it being a short term, and Easter fast approaching, Father has requested we postpone it until after Easter.
We will hold a Baptism Information Night on Thursday 18 April, for parents and the child/ren to be Baptised. This will be held in the Church at 6pm and go for approximately half an hour.
Then we will hold our Community Baptism on Sunday 5 May at 10.45am, immediately following the 9.30am Mass.
I hope that these new dates still work for everyone – and perhaps mean others will have a chance to join us! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
