As part of construction for the new Bayswater Station elevated rail bridges there will be two separate road closures impacting sections of King William Street and Whatley Crescent between mid-July and early August 2022.
King William Street temporary closure
When: 7pm Thursday 14 July to 3pm Monday 18 July 2022
Where: King William Street between Whatley Crescent and Railway Parade
Pedestrian and cyclist access at the Bayswater Station crossing and King William Street underpass will be maintained. Traffic controllers will be on site at King William Street to assist pedestrians and cyclists where required.
Whatley Crescent and King William Street intersection temporary closure
When: 7pm Monday 25 July to Monday 1 August 2022
Where: Temporary road closure: King William Street-Whatley Crescent intersection
- King William Street between Railway Parade and Murray Street
- Whatley Crescent between King William and Leake streets
- Eastbound traffic only on Railway Parade from Coode to Drake streets.
Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained at the Bayswater Station crossing and the Leake Street underpass.
There will be significant disruptions to bus routes 48, 998 and 999 and rail replacement services – visit transperth.wa.gov.au for more information.
